ShadowProtect ImageManager™ allows you to consolidate point-in-time backup images on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for simplified management. Automatic verification and re-verification tools ensure your backups are in a known good state when recovery is necessary.
ShadowProtect Desktop is an automated backup that works in the background. Continuous backups can occur as often as every 15 minutes. ShadowProtect is fast and efficient requiring very little resources to take these incremental snapshots. It backs up to either an attached USB hard drive (you provide) or a location on your network. We recommend highly that you purchase "two" USB hard drives and then rotate them every week or two. Always keep one of the hard drives in a different location than the one in use (bank vault, office or home, even trunk of your car better). What usually happens to the desktop or laptop often happens to the backup drive at the same time (fire, theft, water, etc.). We "do" have a way to backup these to the cloud as well ... but that is a conversation directly with us!
